Chiwio is a songwriter originally from Kigali, Rwanda, and grew up in Quebec City, where he immersed himself in Quebecois culture while remaining rooted in his Rwandan roots. His music is distinguished by profound lyrics, great versatility, and catchy melodies, sung in French, English, and Kinyarwanda. He addresses a variety of themes, from the refugee journey to social reflections, with a poetic touch.

Following his debut EP, Loyal to the Soil, which celebrates the importance of staying connected to one's roots, he released La Bête du Fleuve, a folk-tinged concept album, in October 2023. This album tells the legend of La Bête du Fleuve through narratives between the tracks.

In 2024, he released Vtraptones, an English-language EP about the pitfalls of inner-city living. Chiwio has also had the opportunity to perform alongside major artists such as Lost, Souldia, White B, Warend, Bekar, J9ueve, Mike Shabb, Shreez, Rowjay, Badgal Bamby, Fally Ipupa, and Bow Wow.
